1mage Release 9.2 will include the ability to set up a user as a member of a Group. Group profiles will include document Type lists, Scanning and Indexing Queue assignments, and Default Tag settings. By defining Users as members of a Group any modification to the Group profile will automatically be applied to ALL of its members. Look for Release 9.2 before year end!
With the current economic state, we are doing our best to create products that help our customers utilize what they currently have in-house. Our new 1SCANSERV product allows for businesses to use MFPs (Multi-Function Peripherals) to input documents into their system. With the use of FTP ( File Transfer Protocol) the images are sent into directory structures that can then be accessed for indexing through your current method. It has been a long time coming but the first step to developing our own workflow component. We are calling it “circulation” and it will be our version of Ad Hoc Workflow. We expect to be releasing this as a free component in our web client V1A by the begininng of 2009. Another related subject, we have been working closely with several workflow partners to develop workflow solutions that require rules, roles, and routes.
